The Kid Pan Alley Songwriting Workshop was completed the last day of March 2016.  This has been a year-long process that began in September 2015. The Arts Council combined Alleghany Foundation funding with a partnership with Alleghany Highlands Community Services Board.  Paul Reisler and his assistant  worked in classrooms in the Covington City and Alleghany County public schools.  A public concert of their music was held at Alleghany High School March 31, 2016.
